Verizon's 4G network targeting Gen-Y Through mobile Advertising

The problem

Proximity focus group research’ results show that mobile ads on the 3G network don’t appeal to Gen Y. The 3G network has limits that cause slow downloading and streaming videos. The limits make reaching Gen Y difficult to show up any of advertisers.

Proximity's Social Media Solution / Recommendation

Gen-Y obviously uses the network daily to communicate with others and access mobile resources such as read e-mail, texting and read news. As Verizon plans on replacing the 3G network with the 4G network, advertisers can use the new technology to reach Gen Y more efficiently. Ads with videos, popup and instant downloads will appeal to Gen-Y.

Verizon has invested billions of dollars in the 4G network. Soon, the largest carrier will be completely dependent on the new network system. Advertisers who want reach Gen Y should commit to the 4G network.
